TERMS OF REFERENCE

Under the supervision of the UNICEF WASH Specialist, the consultant will support implementation of the programme through the following responsibilities:
Support Programme Planning and Coordination
Technical Support and Implementation
Monitoring, Quality Assurance and Reporting
Capacity Development and Institutional Support

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

A Bachelor degree Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Hydrogeology, or related field

Work Experience:

Minimum Bachelor in Civil Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience in WASH programmes in general and including at least 3 years of experience in the construction or supervision of water supply and institutional sanitation construction works.
Proven experience in water supply and WASH in institutions projects

Language requirements:

Fluent in Portuguese, spoken and written.
Knowledge of the local language in the project area will be an advantage

Knowledge/Expertise/Skills:

Solid knowledge in solar water supply systems
Knowledge of Environmental Management is an advantage

Desirables:

Experience working with government and partners
Experience working in Zambezia and Nampula provinces is an asset
