Purpose for the job

The Recruitment Centre of Expertise is UNICEF’s global hub for recruitment excellence, providing authoritative guidance, quality assurance, technical support, evidence generation, and continuous improvement for recruitment and selection practices across the organization.

The People and Culture Officer, Recruitment Monitoring, Evaluation and Quality Assurance (RME), reports to the People and Culture Specialist, RCoE, for close guidance, training and supervision and closely collaborate with the Human Capital Intelligence team. The Officer supports the Recruitment Centre of Expertise in strengthening the quality, integrity, consistency and effectiveness of UNICEF’s recruitment processes, including staff recruitment, recruitment monitoring and evaluation, and recruitment learning.

The role contributes to the RCoE’s mandate by supporting post-facto reviews of completed recruitment cases, assessing alignment with UNICEF’s Staff Selection Policy, diversity and inclusion principles, candidate experience standards, and recognized recruitment best practices. The Officer also supports the generation of recruitment insights, identification of systemic issues and good practices, and translation of lessons learned into practical guidance, tools and capacity-building initiatives for the People and Culture community and hiring managers.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Minimum requirements:

Education: Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Business Management, International Relations, Psychology, Data Analytics, Social Sciences and any other related fields.
Work Experience: At least 2 years of relevant work experience in human resources, recruitment, recruitment monitoring, recruitment evaluation, talent acquisition, HR analytics, organizational learning and any other related fields in an international organization and/or large corporation is required.
Skills: Relevant experience in quality assurance, compliance review, audit, evaluation, HR data analysis and knowledge management.
Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required.

Desirables:

Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language
Relevant experience in policy implementation or development of guidance and learning materials.
Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
