How can you make a difference

UNICEF’s Global Programme Division is undergoing an ambitious transformation—shifting toward a globally connected, demand-driven technical assistance model designed to deliver greater focus, scale, and impact for children worldwide.

At the heart of this evolution is the Technical Assistance (TA) Hub: a cutting-edge operational system that brings together technical expertise, knowledge sharing, and service delivery into one cohesive platform. Supported by four Centre's of Excellence across Bangkok, Panama, Amman, and Nairobi, the TA Hub is redefining how UNICEF responds to country needs—faster, smarter, and with greater impact.

Within this transformation, the Programme Strategy and Coordination (PSC) Hub plays a pivotal role. It ensures that technical assistance is not a standalone function but fully embedded within UNICEF’s programme architecture—aligned with strategic priorities, strengthened through institutional processes, and driven by real-time demand from the field.

As the Senior Planning Specialist (Strategic Coordinator), you will be at the center of this global shift. This is a high-impact, system-level role responsible for shaping how UNICEF delivers technical assistance across regions and country contexts. You will connect strategy with execution—translating UNICEF’s Strategic Plan into clear processes, aligned incentives, and operational excellence across a complex global organization.

Working closely with senior leadership, regional teams, and technical partners, you will:

  • Drive coherence across business processes, governance, and performance systems
  • Enable seamless collaboration across headquarters, regions, and country offices
  • Ensure technical assistance delivery is prioritized, scalable, and results-driven
  • Turn data and insights into strategic decisions that strengthen programme impact
