                                                         TERMS OF REFERENCE

Under the UNICEF China Country Programme, nutrition remains a critical priority to support optimal child growth and development, while addressing the increasing burden of childhood overweight and obesity. This requires integrated, lifecourse approaches spanning early childhood nutrition and the promotion of healthy food environments.

UNICEF has been implementing various programmes, including Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF), school nutrition initiatives, and communication campaigns to encourage behaviour change towards healthier diets. In addition, UNICEF is working to improve food environments, such as promoting the application of the Nutrient Profiling Model (NPM) in retailers, cities, and schools to prevent childhood overweight.
