The Individual Contractor shall:
- Coordinate all technical activities and directly report progress to the designated UNODC Officer.
- Ensure high-quality, professional execution of all assigned tasks;
- Provide concise, structured progress reports accompanying each deliverable (e.g. technical modification made, plugin replacements resolved, and performance recommendations).

Duties and Responsibilities
Background of the assignment: The assignment is carried out within the framework of the project “Supporting Asian countries’ resilience to violent extremism in the digital space”. A core component of this project is the establishment of a Regional Network on Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE). The Network aims to enhance regional expertise, provide a comprehensive overview of regional activities, strengthen cooperation among national authorities, and foster partnerships with civil society and academia in PVE. To facilitate knowledge-sharing and the exchange of best practices within the Network and among external stakeholders, a dedicated Central Asian PVE (CAPVE) website was developed in collaboration with the Law Enforcement Academy under the Office of Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The website serves as a comprehensive regional platform for sharing research, data, and evidence to assess and respond to drivers of radicalization, while promoting modern approaches and effective practices to prevent radicalization, incitement, and terrorist recruitment. Specific tasks to be performed by the Individual Contractor: In close coordination with the UNODC project team the Individual Contractor shall:
- Perform a technical evaluation and system restore: conduct a comprehensive audit of the current CAPVE website architecture to identify required maintenance, licensing needs, and bug fixes to restore the platform to full functionality. This includes: o Upgrading the PHP environment and all core WordPress plugins, ensuring full cross-compatibility, zero runtime errors, and the elimination of known security vulnerabilities. o Testing and verifying the functionality of backend and frontend elements, including navigation menus, CMS modules, contact forms, user profile pages, and the administrator control panel (specification Annex to be provided). o Optimizing cross-browser compatibility and responsive layouts across multiple internet-enabled mobile and desktop devices. o Ensuring that system administrators can smoothly access and utilize standard Wordpress tools to update content layouts, news, activities, databases, and activities.
