How can you make a difference?

Under the overall guidance of the Deputy Regional Director overseeing the Strategic Operations Pillar, you are responsible for strengthening UNICEF’s governance, risk management and control processes in the Regional Office and Country Offices in the WCAR region. You are accountable for ensuring that risks are understood, governed, monitored, and integrated into decision-making, and that heads of offices understand they remain accountable to manage risk to safeguard and protect organizational assets (financial and non-financial) as per established standards, policies and procedures.

1. Enhance Risk Management by embedding risk awareness into decision-making and workplaceculture

2. Effective and proactive risk governance to mitigate risks that may impede achievement of resultsfor children

3. Oversight on Regulatory and Compliance Risk
